USED KEYS  We only cut and program brand new name brand keys to avoid damage to our equipment. This also prevents the risk of a used key unable to program since many of the chips "lock" when programmed by marrying the chip to the vehicle and therefore cannot be made work with any other vehicle. Locked chips can only be re-programmed to the same vehicle it was originally programmed to, with the exception of the Fiat system.

About: Programming Automotive Transponder Chip Keys
When purchasing additional keys, all available working keys should be present at the time of programming. This is to ensure any previously working keys are NOT deleted from the vehicle's on-board computer. Most foreign vehicles must have all previously programmed keys erased first before any additional keys can be introduced. This is standard procedure even for the dealerships. Any existing spare keys you have may need to be re-programmed to the vehicle again.
